Zach (Xizhe) Hao 郝熙哲

I am a first-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, advised by Prof. Tingyu Cheng.

Prior to Notre Dame, I earned my M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Washington, where I was fortunate to work with Prof. Shwetak Patel, Prof. Vikram Iyer, and Prof. Jon E. Froehlich on wearable devices, embedded systems and HCI. Before that, I received my B.Eng. in Automation from Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen, China, where I graduated with distinction.

My research explores tactile sensing and physical interaction for intelligent robotic systems. Building on my background in Human-Computer Interaction and ubiquitous computing, I am interested in developing flexible and scalable sensing systems that help robots better understand and interact with the physical world.
